Manufacturer: Gennova

Estrogen receptors (ER) are important growing and differentiation regulators, as well as other dependent endocrine tissues. The gene which codes for this receptor is formed by more than 140 kDa of genomic DNA divided in 8 exons. These information is traduced into a protein with six discrete functional domains, nominated from A to F. ER presence in mammary tumors shows a high probability of response to antiestrogens treatment, for example tamoxifen. This antibody recognizes a 67 kDa protein identified like alpha ER, staining extremely strong the nuclei from mammary carcinoma of epithelial cells.

Clone: RBT11
Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Synthetic peptide derived of C-terminus of ER human.
Staining pattern: Nuclear.
Positive control: Tissue sample from breast carcinoma.

This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human ER using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
This antibody reacts positively with secretory epithelial cells of mammary gland and with the uterus endometrial cladding, as well as its benignant or malignant depending tumors.
