DOG1 (protein kinase C theta), the novel marker, is expressed ubiquitously in gastrointestinal stromal tumors irrespective of kit or PDGFR alpha mutation status. Reactivity for DOG1 may aid in the diagnosis of GISTs, including PDGFRA mutants that fail to express KIT antigen, and lead to appropriatetreatment with imatinib mesylate, an inhibitor of the KIT tyrosine kinase.

Isotype: IgG
Immunogen: Synthetic peptides of human DOG1.
Staining pattern: Cell membrane and cytoplasmic.
Positive control: Tissue sample from GIST.

This antibody is designed for the specific localization of human DOG1 using IHC techniques in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue sections.
This antibody is useful in the diagnosis of gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST).
